Ryszard Piatkowski (b.1949), a Polish painter and graphic designer based in Lodz, graduated from Lodz Academy of the Fine Arts in 1974 (diploma in Applied Graphics and Artistic Photography). Throughout and after his studies, awarded in several Poster Contests. After studies, he worked in the field of industrial design for over 10 years, the majority of which in the Institute of Cellulose and Paper Industry in Lodz.
            Painting became Piatkowski's main concern in the early 80s, when he focused on oils, acrylics and watercolours. With the new Millenium, his output has been enriched with computer art. His landscapes, figurative and abstract art is typified by a dynamic form saturated in rich colour."
            Participant of a number of solo and group exhibitions, chiefly in Poland. Recently, awarded in 2. Ibiza International Art Competition, 2002.
            Works in state and private collections in Poland and abroad.
