Statement

My professional career is as long as 30 years. As a painter (acrylic, oils, watercolour, computer art and mixed media), I consciously choose the role of a 'habitual lone wolf', who would wish never to be pigeon-holed as a pursuer of some school or a representative of some fashionable trend. I am not interested in pleasing effects, but I compose my artworks out of a desire to create a bridge for those who perceive the world in the way similar to mine, thus my artwork is a form of communication and reaction to the stimuli introduced both by the reality and my imagination alike.

My favourite theme is a landscape, which I formerly treated in a far more realistic way with the aim to reflect on the mere strength of beauty of nature. With time, however, my works gain features of more and more intimate renderings, with the aim to make all canons of classical composition submit to my creative will.

I have always been open to meet the variety and richness that the life, people and situations create, yet all the resultant compositions invariably share one common feature which is my deep fascination with colour.
